Incalmi unveils Il vuoto di Trayma by Caterina Roppo, the artist who won the Incalmi Special Prize established in collaboration with the Arte Laguna Prize, an international art competition organized by MoCA – Modern Contemporary Art, a cultural association in Venice.

The artist’s poetic vision and Incalmi’s expertise have found perfect synergy in the exploration of materials and experimentation with different techniques. This virtuous research path, developed over the course of more than a year, led to the creation of two parallel but interconnected projects: one focused on the design world with the Galateo Ancestrale project, presented at EDIT Napoli 2024, and the other embracing the world of art with the project Il vuoto di Trayma.

Il vuoto di Trayma is a powerful allegory of trauma, where fabric, stone, fire, and copper represent and reinterpret the concepts of wound, memory, and healing, along with their processes of transmission and transformation.

From November 17 to December 8, the artwork created in collaboration with Caterina Roppo in our workshop will be on display at the Arte Laguna Prize finalists' exhibition at Arsenale Nord in Venice.

Join us on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. for the opening and award ceremony.
